Searching by FOLIO ID in Codex appends * causing KB lookup to fail

Description

If I attempt to search Codex for a KB ID (for example 528424) as shown in below images I get no results.

Output from log shows that mod-codex-ekb is called with query which appends a * to end of id field which results in error as a numeric id is expected when looking up by title id

The root of this issue is the same as noted in below Jira issue - can * be removed from queries from codex since it is problematic for KB? If a * is required, can a * be added in other codex modules?
