Title Search. Search by search criteria: All (Local and KB)
Description
Purpose: When using the Codex App, then the librarian can search in Codex, and search across both Local and KB. The user can refine his search by using the filters. The scope of this story is selecting search criteria defined available for Local and KB.
Scenarios: 1. Scenario
When in the Codex Search app, and the user will search across Local and KB (which for alpha is the Inventory app, and the eHoldings app)
The default setting will then be Search in all Local titles and all KB titles available online.
2. Scenario
When in the Codex Search app searching titles in both 'KB' and 'Local'
The user search by filling in the search box
Default setting is search criteria 'Title' (aligned with UISE-32)
3. When wanting to narrow down the search
the user will see the full list of search criteria, but the ones, not relevant for the 'Local and KB' search will be grey'ed out (and not selectable)
The list will be:
All [grey]
ID
Title
Identifier [grey]
ISBN
ISSN
Contributor [grey]
Subject [grey]
Classification [grey]
Publisher
4. Scenario
The user can decide to narrow his search by selecting one of following search criteria. The checkmark selection works like 'radio buttons'
ID
Title
ISBN
ISSN
Publisher
5. Scenario Targeted Search Use Cases (examples)
If user selects Search Criteria: Title
AND conducts a search for 'ABA'
Then search should only return results from Local and/or KB that contain 'ABA' in the Resource Title
If user selects Search Criteria: Publisher
AND conducts a search for 'American Bar Association'
Then search should only return titles from Local and/or KB whereby 'American Bar Association' is the Publisher
If user selects Search Criteria: ISSN
AND conducts a search for ISSN '0747-0088'
Then search should only return titles from Local and/or KB whereby the ISSN is '0747-0088'
On reading this closely, it appears that you want exactly the same set of search-fields to be available in the Local+KB case as in the KB-only case. Is that right?
