Cannot submit a request with a user without barcode

Description

Overview: According to the linked test, a request should be able to be submitted, even if the patron does not have a barcode. This is currently not possible.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Log into Nolana Bugfest.

  2. Follow the steps in the test case.
    You can use the patron: UUID = f62bc5cf-3fbc-49e6-9c18-19e1de97b29c ; Name = Doctor, The
    You can use the item: Barcode = 36144408 ; Name = Have a nice day

Expected Results: I can save the request

Actual Results: I get the error message: "Please fill out requester information to continue"

Additional Information:

  • I could not replicate this in Morning Glory bugfest.

Potential Workaround

Technically: Add a fake barcode to the patron. In practice, this workaround may not be possible e.g. if the staff in question doesn't have the permissions to update the user.
