Spike Result:

New request creation in ui-requests is highly coupled with other functionality.

Adding the wildcard search will break the existing functionality and will require refactoring of the ui-requests module.

So, considering the effort required for the wild card search implementation in ui-requests it would make sense to move it out of the INN-Reach MVP scope.
