Automated patron blocks error in Requests and Users for Commander, Misty and others

Description

Overview: I noticed this when testing in bugfest. I didn't see this bug before was deployed, but I don't know if it's connected in any way.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Log into BugFest as folio/folio

  2. Go to Inventory and find an item

  3. From the item, create a request

  4. Pick a requester Commander, Misty M or Aaron, Claudia T

  5. Save request

Expected Results: Should save without error
Actual Results: Automated patron blocks error

Additional information:

  • Once I've seen this error when creating the request, I start to see it in other places. For example, I saw the error when trying to view this user's record in Users. Then when I clicked to go back to Requests, I saw the error again.

Thanks . I do see a correct request coming out:

but it fails with a 500 status. This is potentially a backend issue.

FYI , I noticed this when testing . I have assigned it to Vega because it seems to relate to automated patron blocks, but thought I'd give you a heads up, too, in case there's a possibility it has to do with changes we made in Requests.

Hmm, I decided to try a bunch of different requesters to see if I could repro and I found one after about 4 picks: https://bugfest-goldenrod.folio.ebsco.com/users/view/57391276-0b8b-4f43-8202-e53667f07ac5 So I guess it's not just one user. I think this might be a release blocker. Will mark it as such for now.

and I think this is a Vega issue. I don't know whether it's a release blocker or not because so far I've only seen it with this one user and I can't see what might be different about this user.
