Display Due Date in Request List

Description

Purpose: Requested by Chalmers. When searching in Request we want the Due date to display to be able to give the patrons the information they want faster and to faster determine on which item to place a request on.

Scenarios:

  1. Scenario

    • Given the request app landing page

    • When search results are displayed

    • Then the due date for the current loan should display as a column

      • Column header: Due date

      • Value:

        • If the item is on loan, display the due date

        • If the item is not on loan, display nothing

  2. Scenario

    • Given the Due date column header

    • When clicked

    • Then the results should sort and reverse sort according to FOLIO standard sorting rules

How important is it to you that we support sort by due date?
Not important at all
Currently there is no Item status column in the Requests results. How important is it to you that there be one?
Medium. It all depends on how the TLR functionality develops.

Thanks for the info, . A couple more questions:

  • How important is it to you that we support sort by due date?

  • Currently there is no Item status column in the Requests results. How important is it to you that there be one?

, this is most important in Inventory since it's where we place requests most often (besides EDS).

When TLR light is implemented this is not as important but would still make work easier for Circulation staff since this is something the patrons want information about. UIIN-977 does not effect this issue since this work takes place beforehand.

Also, how important do you think this is given we will be implementing UIIN-977 and TLR light?

Hi . I drafted this based on CHAL-194. I've specified a separate Due date column as it seems cleaner from an info architecture perspective than conflating an item status and due date column into a single column. I also suspect that, if we combing item status and due date into a single column, it will be harder to make sorting by date work. Questions:

  • How important is it to you that we support sort by due date?

  • Currently there is no Item status column in the Requests results. How important is it to you that there be one?

Won't Do
