Clicking on Item barcode in Item Information section of Request Detail page causes 500 status error

Description

Steps to recreate:
1. Navigate to Requests app.
2. Select Request, click Request Detail
3. Click on the Barcode link in the Item Information section.

Expected behavior
Item details are displayed.

Actual behavior
Inventory app is open, detail information is starting to be rendered and then following error is displayed:

The url that is generated contains correct ids for the holdingrecord and instance but item id is missing
