Add dropdown for authority source file in quickMARC for MARC authority records

Description

Background: Currently when creating a new MARC authority record, users select an authority file from the authority file look-up hyperlink underneath the 001. However, there is no indicator of which file is selected, and in order to double check, the user has to select the lookup hyperlink again. We need to add some indicator of which one was selected.

Requirements:

  • Remove “Authority file look-up” hyperlink underneath the 001 field

  • Remove the modal

  • Add a new dropdown above the 001 field called “Select authority file”

    • Once an authority file is selected, user should not be able select “Select authority file”

  • Dropdown should contain all of the authority files marked as “Active” in Settings

Requirement says “Add a new dropdown above the 001 field called “Select authority file””, but right now the dropdown displays below “001” field.
Is this an issue? or something has been changed?

Ok, great thanks. So if I move my mouse incorrectly and choose the wrong choice, I can still change it, as long as I haven’t yet saved the record.

Hi - not if they have already saved the record. This is because the 001 has already been generated.
