Search performance speed enhancement

Description

Overview: Particularly in instances of FOLIO with many records loading orders after a search can take over 30 seconds.

App name/area of issue: Order/search orders and order lines

Brief statement of issue: Searches can take 10-15 seconds to return results

How many users at any given time: Uncertain that this has an impact as there would not have been more than 20-30 users in the Q1 bugfest environment

Volume of data; 15k order records, 15k+ order lines, 7k organizations, 15k+ inventory records

Expected response time: 5 seconds

Outline steps for test:

  • Open order app

  • select a filter or add a search term

  • Wait for result list to load

I'm closing this UI story as won't do because we have decided to implement cross index sub-queries for orders that should resolve this performance issue. Any additional UI work required will be defined in future stories.

 I'm not sure what could be done from front-end side. Description looks like purely back-end response time decreasing. I suggest  to take a look into this ticket.

I think I would keep this as a P3 at the moment as it doesn't block any or our workflows. However, it is a major inconvenience for users.
