As a cataloger, I need the ability to compare two resource descriptions side-by-side in order to determine which is a better fit for editing.
This card extends functionality for 'full display,' -
The full display functionality will allow a cataloger to select a second resource from the result set list, such that the cataloger will see separate full displays for the two resources selected.
The functionality of the second full display column will largely be the same as detailed in with a couple of differences.
The cataloger will be limited to viewing / comparing two resource descriptions at a time. So after a second resource description as been selected, the 'More info' icons in the search result display must be disabled. The cataloger will need to close out at least one of the open full display columns in order to select another resource description for comparison.
Use cases
1. Happy path
GIVEN a search performed in Marva
AND a search result set displayed to the end user
AND the search result displays a green 'More info' icon for each entry in the search result
AND the search result displays a green 'Edit' icon for each entry in the search result
AND the cataloger has already selected one resource to inspect in full display
WHEN the cataloger selects a green 'More info' icon for a second resource description in the search results
THEN a second full display column is displayed to the right of the first full display column
AND the second full display shows the components of the selected resource description in Work, Instance order
AND the components of the second resource description are displayed as read only
AND the full display includes a scroll bar to navigate the full resource description
AND the full display shows a green 'Edit' icon and a black 'Close' icon
AND the 'More info' icons for the entries not shown in full display are disabled - grey icon
AND the 'Edit' icons for the other entries in the search result are still enabled - green icon
2. Edit second resource from full display
GIVEN scenario 1
WHEN the cataloger selects the green 'Edit' icon from the second full display column
THEN the selected resource is pulled into the Monograph workform in edit mode
AND the search query, search results, and full display elements are no longer displayed to the cataloger
3. Edit second resource from search results
GIVEN scenario 1
WHEN the cataloger selects the green 'Edit' icon from the search results display for the second resource description
THEN the selected resource is pulled into the Monograph workform in edit mode
AND the search query, search results, and full display elements are no longer displayed to the cataloger
4. More info icon - other resource
GIVEN scenario 1
WHEN the cataloger tries to select a grey 'More info' icon for another resource in the search results
THEN no action results - the 'More info' icon is disabled
5. Edit icon - other resource
GIVEN scenario 1
WHEN the cataloger tries to select the green 'Edit' icon for another resource in the search results
THEN the selected resource is pulled into edit mode
6. Close resource - one resource
GIVEN scenario 1
WHEN the cataloger closes the full display for one of the two resource descriptions
THEN the full display for the closed resource description no longer is shown
AND the full display for the remaining resource description fills out the space available in the full display section
AND the search result display remains, with all of the 'More info' icons and 'Edit' icons actionable (green)
7. Close resource – two resources
GIVEN scenario 6
WHEN the cataloger closes the second resource description
THEN no resource descriptions are displayed in the full display section
AND the full display for the remaining resource description fills out the space available in the full display section
AND the search result display remains, with all of the 'More info' icons and 'Edit' icons actionable (green)
