Instance ID search does not work

Description

When I search in the inventory app in any environment, I put an HRID in the box and press return. Expected result: the search returns an item

Actual result: the search says: no results found for "number", even though I copied the number from a record in the inventory database.

Hi - search on Instance ID is only search on the Instance UUID - as for now.

But it will be changed later to be search on HRID.

I'll close the bug as wont do. And when writing up stories in relation to I'll add the story on search on HRIDs.

, what do you think about this. i believe since the HRID is he only one showing, it should be the one retrieved by this search.

Instance ID and Instance HRID are not the same field. Instance ID refers to the what we previously called the Folio ID, a field containing a UUID, which is presently displayed in the URL, e.g. /inventory/view/<instance id>. Instance HRID is, as its name implies, is an HRID and is a totally separate field.

The UI does not provide any queries against Instance HRID at present, but it would be trivial to replace Instance ID with Instance HRID, or to add it; should we?

We used to display the Folio ID as part of the record, but now I only see it in the URL. I found a few tickets discussing the addition of HRID but couldn't find the one for removing display of Folio ID.
