"Something went wrong" error appears when click on "Search" toggle when detail view of "Instance" record is opened

Description

Overview: "Something went wrong" error appears when click on "Search" toggle when detail view of "Instance" record is opened in the third pane
Steps to Reproduce:
Scenario 1:

  1. Log into Snapshot FOLIO environment as User with following permissions:
    Data import: Can view only
    Inventory: All permissions

  2. Import any "MARC bib" record using "Default - Create instance and SRS MARC Bib" job profile via "Data import" app.
    You can use attached file:

  1. Once import is completed, click on the "File name" value at the row with imported record.

  2. Click on the "Created" hyperlink next to imported record.

  3. Click on the "Search" tab on "Search|Browse" toggle placed on the "Search & filter" pane.

Expected Results: All panes are cleared from user selections/search results. Only the search query is retained.
Actual Results: "Something went wrong" error appears.

Scenario 2:

  1. Log into Snapshot FOLIO environment as User with following permissions:
    Inventory: All permissions

  2. Go to "Inventory"

  3. Run any search which will return records

  4. Oped detail view of "Instance" record in the third pane

  5. Click on the "Search" tab on "Search|Browse" toggle placed on the "Search & filter" pane.

Expected Results: All panes are cleared from user selections/search results. Only the search query is retained.
Actual Results: "Something went wrong" error appears.

Additional Information:
The issue also reproduces after redirecting from "Browse" pane to "Search" pane using "Contributor"/"Subject"/ "Call number" hyperlink.

To reproduce this bug, it is needed first to do a Browse search.

Hey  

  • I cannot reproduce this issue when I import a MARC authority record and click the Created link to go to the record in the MARC authority record. I

  • I cannot reproduce this issue when I link a MARC authority to a MARC bib field then click the # of titles link in the MARC authority results list 

  • So it seems to be isolated to data import link to Inventory and Browse to Search link 

  • Can we implement a behavior similar to what we did with MARC authority app meaning 

    • Inventory app Search tab is highlighted whenever user is coming from data import and coming from Inventory app Browse when clicking number of titles?
