Stat code TYPES not in alpha order when creating new Stat codes

Description

Overview: When creating a new statistical code in Inventory Settings, a user needs to assign a statistical code type. The stat code types do not display in alphabetical order

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Log into folio-snapshot as diku_admin

  2. Go to Settings/Inventory/Instances, Holdings, Items/ Statistical code types

  3. Create several new stat code types that would be near the beginning and end of the list of types, alphabetically

  4. View the list of code types

  5. Once the types have been created, switch to Statistical codes

  6. Create a new Statistical code; assign its code and code name; click on Statistical code types to view the list of code types

Expected Results: List of statistical code types should display alphabetically both in the list of Stat code types and in the dropdown list when creating a new Stat code

Actual Results: They display alphabetically in the list of Stat code types, but not in the dropdown list when creating a new Stat code

Hi This is in the Settings area, not in the Instance Edit - please see attached screenshot. When I create a new stat code, the list of stat code types is not in alpha order.

It's not a big deal, but it's definitely a bug

Hi - this is not a bug. Please notice the List is sorted by Statistical code names, and it sorts alphabetically according, also when adding a new Statistical code.

The list you view in the edit screen is a concatenated list with the Statistical code type, and the statistical code and code name.
This view is similar to Format, where we have format type, and the format value.

When we get the dual look up option implemented then we can do first selection of the Statistical code type, and then be presented for the values belogning to that Statistical code type. Or enter directly the Statistical code / Statistical code name.

I'll close the ticket as won't do - and see if I can get the dual look up option work scheduled
