Description

When users have multiple open fiscal years and transfer money between funds in a past fiscal year AND the transfer is initiated FROM the open budget rather than TO the open budget, the transfer itself occurs correctly, but the confirmation toast message says that the money was transferred to the budget in the current fiscal year. This can lead to confusion.

Note that viewing fund details will show that the transfer itself occurred in the correct fiscal year.

Also note that the FOLIO default is to transfer TO the open budget, not FROM the open budget.

Steps to reproduce

1. Set up at least 2 fiscal years in succession.

2. Set up a ledger and assign it to the FY in step 1

3. Set up 2 funds associated with the ledger

4. Allocate money to the budgets.

5. Set FY 2 as the current fiscal year. Ensure that FY 1 remains open and that budgets associated with FY 1 have money.

6. Within FY 1, transfer money between fund 1 and fund 2 as follows:

   1. Open fund 1

   2. Select Actions → Transfer

   3. Enter fund 1 in the From box and fund 2 in the To box (note that initially fund 1 will be in the To box)

   4. Enter a valid amount in the “amount” box

   5. Click “Confirm”

Expected result

• Toast message appears: “$[amount] was successfully transferred to the budget [budget name for FY of the transfer”

• Correct amount was transferred to the budget in the FY of the transfer

Actual result

• Toast message appears: “$[amount] was successfully transferred to the budget [budget name for current FY”

• Correct amount was transferred to the budget in the FY of the transfer
