Requirement 1: As an ERM librarian using the eHoldings app, I want to be able to see additional details about a selected Package or Title’s linked Agreement.
Requirement 2: I would also want to see if the associated Agreement is perpetual access (is perpetual Agreement field) and if it has a linked License record (if yes, then include the name of the license and a link to that License record).
Why?
Knowing what titles or packages have perpetual access in eHoldings is helpful for knowing:
whether individual titles within need to have their coverage dates checked or customized to match what is entitled.
is critical information that transcends the admin and access parts of typical ERM Librarian work.
Knowing if an agreement/eholdings package has a license attached to it and if so, being able to access it easily, provides the ERM librarian with:
with a direct route to verifying perpetual access terms, and other relevant information such as entitlement lists, license terms, and license documents
would facilitate setting up and maintaining the license term integration between FOLIO and Publication Finder
Proposed solution:
In the Agreement accordion section of either package or title records, within the MCL, add a column called “Perpetual Access?”. Populate cells under this column with the contents of the Perpetual Access? field from attached agreements.
Possible values would be Yes, No, or null; if null, leave blank.
In the Agreement accordion section of either package or title records, within the MCL, add a column called “License”. Populate cells under this column based on whether the attached Agreement has a License record associated with it.
If yes, display the name of the attached License and hyperlink it so users can click it and go to the License record itself.
If no license is associated with the attached Agreement, leave cell blank.
