Overview: In Holdings and Item field mapping profiles, reference dropdown lists for Permanent and Temporary locations need work
NOTE This needs to be corrected for all location fields in the Holdings and Item field mapping profiles
Steps to Reproduce:
Log into FOLIO-snapshot-load as diku_admin
Go to Settings/Data import/Field mapping profiles
Start to create a new field mapping profile with Incoming record = MARC Bibliographic and FOLIO record type = Holdings
Find the Location/Permanent field and click the dropdown list
View the list of values
Click on one of the values
View the selected location information in the mapping field
Expected Results: In the dropdown, and then in the field after a value has been selected, I should see the name of the location, followed by the location code in parentheses. Best example is the attached screenshot from the Purchase order line.
Actual Results: I only see the name of the location
Location Code versus Name: When mapping from a MARC record, the location should create/update properly in the holdings or item record, even when only the code is supplied from the MARC record. For example: the location value in the dropdown list in Garnett General (wpgen). For the mapping, I use 949 $a, rather than selecting a default from the dropdown list. When the location data is pulled from the 949 $a, it is wpgen. And that should map properly into the holdings or item record as Garnett General (wpgen).
Additional Information: See attached screenshots, plus a list of sample locations from Missouri State University - much longer than the sample data in the hosted reference environments. You'll see the location name, followed by the code in parentheses.
Once corrected, please try mapping into a Holdings Field mapping profile and see if it imports properly into a new Holdings. Ask A-M if questions or issues with testing/importing
