Checkin will not load

Description

This is a regression that exists when running against this branch of stripes-connect.

When running against that branch the following warning appears in the console:

Console Output

MCLRenderer.js:111 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of null
at new MCLRenderer (MCLRenderer.js:111)

and the app will not load.
