Purpose: Some consortia offer shared or centralized ordering for consortia and need access and/or visibility into acquisition units from across the consortium. In order to minimize confusion and prevent errors, acquisition unit names should be unique across the consortium.

User story statement(s):

As a staff user who creates or edits acquisition units at a member institution within a consortium,
I want to ensure that the acquisition unit names are unique
so that I or others do not attach order or financial information to the wrong acquisition unit

Scenarios:

1. Scenario:

   • Given that I am authorized to create acquisition unit names at my institution

   • When I create an acquisition unit with a name unique to my tenant

   • Then FOLIO will automatically add the Institution code from Settings - Tenant to my acquisition unit name

2. Scenario:

   • Given that I am authorized to edit acquisition unit names at my institution

   • When I edit an acquisition unit with a a name unique to my tenant

   • Then FOLIO will automatically add the Institution code from Settings - Tenant to my acquisition unit name.
