Description

Purpose: Ensure the synchronized data points between different UIs are name consistently

Scenarios:

  1. Add Display summary field to Item record:

    • Given user is creating or editing item

    • When "Enumeration data" accordion is displayed

    • Then "Display summary" field is shown

    • AND is editable

    • AND is a string input that accepts special characters

  2. Update label of caption field in Receiving history accordion on Holdings record

    • Given user is viewing Holdings

    • When "Receiving history" accordion is displayed

    • Then "Caption" column is now called "Display summary" in table

As per discussions in Serials data alignment meetings with reps from multiple SIGs we have added a field to inventory item record to contain data carried through receiving from the serials application for the Q release it will be an alternative to capturing detailed enumeration, chronology, volume and year, caption information in the item enumeration data accordion.

Note we have also contacted regarding having this data point added to data export field mapping transformations. This will allow users to export this data to MARC.
