Main Toolbar: Clicking on a selected app should always take me to the app's default landing page

Description

Background: Based on user feedback, users expect that clicking on currently selected app always takes you to the app's default landing page.

Requirement

Given I am currently on the Checkout App

When I click the Checkout App again on the main toolbar
Then I should return to the Checkout App's default landing page.

No change to existing behavior when you click from app to app.

Oooooooh I see; this is about what happens when users click the icon for the currently-in-use-app. That makes sense.

These aren't the app icons we're looking for. Move along; move along.

, what is your concern with this change? The change only applies when you are already on the app only. No change in functionality when you go from one app to another. If the PR represents a change in that behavior then I agree we should not proceed.

In general, I'm a big fan of the principle of least surprise, but feels like a big loss in functionality just because it doesn't meet people's initial expectation about how it will work.

Can we raise the profile of this issue and maybe try to get a discussion going before we implement the change?
