This is a scenario when patron is allowed to checkout the item but the item is not available for a checkout.

Scenario

1. Patron places library card in SC

2. SC reads library card barcode

3. Patron provides numeric PIN

4. SC sends Patron Status Requests (23) or Patron Information (63) to FOLIO

5. FOLIO returns Patron Status Response (24) or Patron Information Response (64) that contains information that:

   • The patron is inactive or

   • The patron is blocked

6. SC blocks the checkout
