There was indeed a bug in reaing chunked POST data, when the length contained hex characters A-Z.

Not quite sure why it pops up now, maybe a newer version of curl has started to POST data in chunked encoding, or the perl libraries have changed?

Anyway, it is fixed now. At least the exmaple.pl, runs happily and ends with Simple here. Hello module said 'Hello, world'.

Strange, I demoed that one to Jason yesterday in the meeting.

But yes, I can confirm it hangs. Running directly against the module, I see it fails with

I followed the instructions for each of the three sample modules, and they are successful.

For the simple-perl module, the final step in this section to "post any valid JSON" does hang, then gets a 500 with "Server Timeout on process". Same on both macOS and Ubuntu Linux. That same step is okay with the other two sample modules.
