Debian packaging files and okapi configuration files maintained in Okapi branch called packaging. A top-level shell script called build_deb.sh will build Okapi and package Okapi.

It is worthwhile to present users and developers with a package they can install and configure Okapi in a sane manner rather than doing all the prerequisite fetching and building from source and trying to figure out all the run time options and so forth. Okapi is generally not run inside a container, so having a decent distribution/installation method is helpful.
