Can't Log in After Changing Username/User ID

Description

Overview: Users do sometimes change their usernames. It is possible to change the User ID field in FOLIO but when you try to log in with that new User ID, it won't let you in.

Steps to repro:

  1. Log into folio-testing as diku_admin

  2. Create a new user and supply them a User ID and password

  3. Log out and log in as your new user

  4. Note that that works just fine

  5. Now log out and log in as diku_admin

  6. Change the User ID for your new user

  7. Log out

  8. Attempt log in with modified User ID

Expected: Should be able to log in (and any previously assigned permissions should be retained, of course)

Actual: Can't log in. Get "Sorry, the information entered does not match our records!" message. Also, when I log in as diku_admin and try to view the user's profile I get a FETCH error (see attached screenshot).

Additional Info: Also cannot log in with the old User ID BUT, if you change the username back to the original User ID, you can log in again.

Manual test in FOLIO testhttp://folio-testing.aws.indexdata.com/ version @folio/users 2.10.100013, using Chrome.

All looks good (step 1-8). I'll close the issue as done.

Manual test in FOLIO test http://folio-testing.aws.indexdata.com/ version @folio/users 2.10.100010, using Chrome

Overview: I was not able to get this done, due to missing data in the user record when in edit mode. Missing e.g.: Username, First name, Middle name, Last name, email, phone, mobile pone, barcode, FOLIO record number, and External system Id. I have filed a bug https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UIU-247#icft=UIU-247 and will come back to this issue later.

I have tried this on folio-testing, and it works successfully for me.

To be reviewed on folio-testing.

Was wondering about that too and thought that it seems pretty straightforward to just append it to your current script?
