MARC bib record | Source does not reflect last person to update record when the update is via data import

Description

Environment(s):  Is reproduced on Kiwi/Lotus/snapshot environments

Preconditions: MARC bib record exist. Create user account with Inventory/quickMARC/Data import permissions only.

  1. Update the MARC bib record via Data import OR  

    1. You can also click on the Actions menu on the detail record to be updated 

    2. And select Overlay source bibliographic source record option 

    3. Pre-condition must make sure single record import is setup. OCLC auth is 100473910/PAOLF

  2. Instance and bib record is updated 

  3. Notice that the instance record shows the updated user (see screenshot 1) 

  4. Edit the bib record via quickMARC  

Expected outcome:  Source value is updated with the user that updated the record via data import 

Actual outcome:  Source value IS NOT updated (see screenshot 2) 

NOTE: I need to see if this happens with authority records too.

This issue is observed regardless of user and its permissions, even if it's diku admin. 

Also without updating record

This issue happens with "MARC Authority" record too (see screenshot). Would be created another story for "MARC Authority"? 

Actually, all the imported by users via "Data import" app "MARC Authority" records had "Source" value = "System", not only those which were updated.

 please also assign these permissions

  • Settings (Data import): Can view, create, edit, and remove 

  • Settings (Inventory): Configure single-record import

  • Inventory: Import single bibliographic records
