Upload of R5 TR report fails: String length (5046272) exceeds the maximum length (5000000)

Description

Observed behaviour

When POSTing a certain COUNTER R5 TR JSON file to the “/counter-reports/upload/provider/{id}“ path I get the following error message and the file does not show up in FOLIO.

The file is a TR for a single month. File size is 3.7 MB. This is somewhat larger than other files that do not pose this problem.

The file causing the issue was successfully harvested by a an Orchid tenant from which it was subsequently downloaded. Now upload to a Poppy tenant (mod-erm-usage-4.6.0) fails.

Expected behaviour

It should be possible to upload COUNTER files of any reasonable size, i.e. as they occur in the wild.

Potential Workaround

No workaround known. Harvesting again is not an option as the vendor does no longer supply data from that report’s year.

The issue has been addressed. A fix is available on the folio-snapshot systems and will be included in the upcoming Quesnelia bugfix release. Please let me know whether this resolution meets your requirements or if further assistance is needed.

Edited

Meanwhile I have 270 such files that won’t upload with that same error message (out of a total of 20,000 plus downloaded from an Orchid tenant).

File sizes are from 3.7MB to 30MB.
