To reduce number of polling requests to data-import for retrieving job status the poller component should be implemented. It should calculate estimated completion time and increase polling intervals based on job completion forecast.

Algorithm:

1. Calculate throughtput - number of imported records / current importing time.

2. Estimate completion time total number of records / throughtput.

3. Determine adaptive polling model - TBD

4. Make call according to polling model, recalculate throughtput and estimated completion time → recalculate polling model parameters.
