Item lookup by barcode scanner taking too long in Ramsons Eureka non-ECS Bugfest

Steps to reproduce:

Expected result:

  • The item is located and checked out in under 2 seconds

Actual result:

  • The item is located and checked out in 4-8 seconds

 

Scope for investigation:

  • sidecar transaction logs and check rt - uct

  • for requests with high rt and low uct - get the request id and trace all path

  • debug log and check request with big rt

  • contact @vega team and to assist with the flow understanding

Hi , on Friday I rechecked this request, and my response time is much faster. Could you clarify which specific data you used? You can see response examples and their response time in the screenshot below.

Did requesting yesterday multiple times against the same title. The response times vary.

Last observation for Check-in/Check-out during data import (high number of sessions on DB side, DB CPU was close to 90%) showed the next response time numbers:
check-in - up to 15 seconds
check-out - up to 20 seconds

But when environment stabilized we see next results:
check-in - about 800 ms
check-out - up to 2 seconds 200 ms
Now we are in progress with ramsons eureka non-consortia CI/CO testing so we gonna get the results soon for this type of environment.
