Wolf Con sessions

Maura

Maura plans to go, but would rather not be the only person presenting. Who would help, at least with preparing the presentations? The sessions we agreed on are:

  • Short session on how the community is coming together to work out best practices for Eureka permissions – Eureka lab/documentation

  • Introduction to User Management – workshop for people who have questions

  • The Life Cycle of A User or Day in the Life of User

Erin might be able to be there in person. Tara will be there in person. All present agreed to help create the presentations and possibly help present.

Prioritization

Maura

How do we prioritize our feature requests and bug fixes?

  • Currently

    • Amelia maintains a Gap List in the UM-SIG wiki space.

    • She brings up feature requests; we discuss them; Amelia writes or updates a Jira ticket and assigns priority based on the discussion.

    • Amelia also brings up our high-priority items in meetings with developers.

    • How do we track the tickets? Amelia gets notified when there’s a change to the Jira ticket and updates the gap list.

  • In the future

    • It would be good to repeat the process we used for the Sunflower release, where we prioritize features in advance of each release, so that the SIG and the dev teams are on the same page.
