Update on JIRA tickets

Patty

• Searching custom fields

  • There is no dev team assigned to this

  • Perhaps this can be done by a front-end team?

• Preferred pronouns

  • Since UXPROD-1790 was completed, other tickets have been written that are related.

    • UXPROD-3067 (Display preferred name in Checkout and Request

    • UXPROD-2490 (Make preferred pronoun part of User record)

  • Perhaps a template could be made in the UI that would search for Preferred Name/Pronoun, and if they exist display them in Checkout or Reuqest. Otherwise, use the Last Name and First name as they exist in the record. 

    • Honorifics could be added by the same logic.

    • Would this be a UI-only feature, requiring only UI development?

  • Patty will take this to RA-SIG, so that we can coordinate efforts wrangling development resources.

 Documentation/Instruction

Patty

• Patty thinks the SIG has a great deal to offer when it comes to helping new libraries adopt Folio.  She believes that we can make video demos and panel discussions about user management that can supplement the written documentation.

• The Finance Overview video by Dennis Bridges is a model of what Patty is looking for.

• Christine will make the link to the documentation available, so that the SIG can read and ask questions about the documentation.
