| 20 min | Demo of user deletions | Björn M. | There is a new action in the user module: Check for open transactions / delete user. Selecting this action opens a module, which will show any open actions for the user, such as blocks, unpaid fees/fines, open loans, etc. This check is performed by the back end. If there are no open transactions for a user, then a confirmation dialogue appears asking if you are sure you want to delete the user. Björn supports adding language to this confirmation to the effect that there are no open transactions for the user, to reassure staff that they have successfully cleared all open transactions. SIG members should please try out this feature and report their experiences / suggestions for improvement etc. preferably by this Friday, or Monday 6/28 at the latest to Feedback for User Deletion action |
| 5 min | Out-of-the-box Permission Sets | Maura | Should there be better documentation for the out-of-the-box permission sets? A lot of work was put into creating these, but they are mostly just being used for testing purposes. They are not included in the standard deployment of FOLIO, although they can be included if desired. Maura remembered a Sprint review which described a feature for automatically replacing deprecated permissions with the new permissions, and thought this was specifically for the standard permission sets, but will check on this. |
| 5 min | Other topics | various | It was decided to schedule discussion on Roadmap Development Team for 3 weeks from now. Christine reported that she has made excellent progress with documentation, and is currently working on getting the formatting into the proper standard. This should be done by the end of the week, after which it will get reviewed and commented on, and then added to the documentation site. Honeysuckle documentation should be done by July 9 deadline, after which work will begin on Iris documentation. Rebecca asked about having multiple barcodes for the same user. Andrea said custom fields can be used for this, and advised referring questions to the expert in this area, Erin Nettifee. Next week's meeting was canceled. |
