  1. We are nearly ready to approve UXPROD-2389 (Default Expiration Dates based on Patron Group).  All that's left is to discuss the text of the pop-up that confirms the expiration date.

  2. We should prioritize previous discussions that haven't been picked up.  Do we need to revisit them?  Or are we satisfied with how they are/are being developed? Candidates from this year:

    1. Notes pop up at checkout (UXPROD-2814)

    2. Merging duplicate user records created in error

    3. Add filter for permissions/permission sets in User app (UIU-1904)

Discuss text on modal for UXPROD-2389 (Default expiration date based on Patron group)

There were three issues to discuss with this modal. 

  1. The title bar. In snapshot, it says "Recalculate expiration date?"  We chose to change that to "Set expiration date?" to make it clearer.

  2. The buttons.  In snapshot, they are: "Recalculate" and "Cancel."  We chose to change "Recalculate" to "Set" and leave "Cancel" as it is.

  3. The text.  We decided to change it to, "Library membership for the patron group staff is 730 days. Do you want to update this user’s expiration date to March 1, 2023?"  The parts that are in bold her should display in bold.

  4. While we were at it, we decided that the "Recalculate" button that currently appears under the Expiration Date field should be renamed to "Reset."

Currently, in snapshot, this modal pops up when you call up a user.  This is an error - it should only pop up when we change a user's Patron Group, and then only if the Patron Group has a specific expiration date attached.

Maura pulled up a few old discussion points that we meant to discuss further.  We will discuss, evaluate, prioritize at later meetings.

  • Patron preferred name at checkout

  • Searching by last name in Users

  • Custom fields being filterable/searchable

  • UXPROD-2814 - user notes that pop-up at checkout

  •  

    • Checkout and User’s app checkboxes within a note

    • Still have the problem that these are difficult to clear

    • Need this feature ranked higher
