Background:

• Original: FOLIO Governance Model#Charter.2

• Draft: 2023 Charter Draft Archived

Notes:

• Exercise:  take 5 minutes to formulate your own version of the charter intro/overview, post it in chat, then use this to drive the discussion

  • Themes were identified and discussed

    • Highlights:

      • Remove "operational health"

      • Best practices vs Guidelines?

      • Is the TC really responsible for (tracking, etc.) technical debt?

      • What should the verb be here?  "Maintain" vs "Guide" vs "Provide oversight", etc.

• Made some adjustments to the draft, mostly to the "Charter" wording, not so much under the Description section.

Next Steps:

• Give TC members a week to review the draft and leave feedback

• If needed, have a short discussion during the TC meeting on Feb 8, 2023 

• Call a vote within the TC on Feb 8, 2023 

• @Jenn Colt to communicate this plan out to the rest of the TC via slack
