    • How long is the review period? RFC process intends for a one month interval, but would like to rush this if we can. Aug 17, 2026was shared as a deadline, but this can be pushed out if the feedback requires more time.

Any council may appoint members to fill vacant seats (up to the maximum) on the council, if necessary.  When possible, individuals who were the next highest vote getters in the previous election should be selected.  The Community Council will ratify any appointment to ensure that it doesn’t violate any council membership rules.

This is a 2-year position that is open.

Some candidates have been identified, @Olamide Kolawole and @Wayne Schneider are approaching them to gauge interest.

Q: If no candidates are available that meet all of the criteria, will the community consider candidates who do not meet all of the requirements? Would need to go through the community council for an exception if it comes to that.

Confluence blogging

Hi TC colleagues, a quick update on the new wiki home page: in the upper-right corner, you'll find a section that displays recent blog posts. Any Confluence blog post tagged community-blog will automatically appear there.

The Product Council has already established a blog within the PC Confluence space (the option to create a blog is typically located at the bottom of the left-hand navigation tree). We encourage the CC and TC to use the same approach to share updates and items of interest with the broader community.

The aggregator also shows the source of each post, so readers can easily see whether content originated from the PC, CC, or TC.
I'd also welcome your thoughts on whether, and how, we should expand blog posting permissions. For example, should POs, SIG conveners, hosting partners, the RMS group, etc., be able to contribute posts? A joint CC/PC effort is developing communication guidelines that will establish general expectations for creating and managing home page content. However, the question of who should be able to post blogs is one that would benefit from broader input.

What is the process that we need around this? What warrants a blog post? Should it be a an individual or a subgroup?

Maybe a role in the future?

Start more informally. Post about the developer conference survey initially. Evaluate how this goes over time to determine its usefulness and what infrastructure is necessary.

Christie will work with Autumn to get the blog set up and with Olamide to post about the developer conference.
