• Shelley was able to upgrade to Sunflower CSP 7 from CSP 4 (Eureka)

  • Shelley created a app-z3950 descriptor for CSP 7, but the interface for mod-graphql was too old to use the latest ‘4.4.1’ mod-z3950 release

  • General process Shelley used for upgrade:

    • Upgrade Kong+Keycloak+Mgr components first

    • Turn off Kafka and delete the contents, form a new blank Kafka cluster

    • Turn off old modules and then start the new module versions

    • Add new App manifests and module discovery data

    • Run entitlements on new App manifests

  • It is generally recommended to upgrade Postgres to 18 for security purposes, though it does not seem to be required

  • It is generally recommended to upgrade Elasticsearch to 8.19 for security purposes, also not required

• Many of us are still using bitnamilegacy helm charts for the Elasticsearch stack

• Florian Gleixner was able to use the Opensearch Operator to install the stack along with a working Dashboard

• Florian Gleixner was able to integrate several external tools with Keycloak for SSO

  • Keycloak pulls from multiple LDAP sources

• Trent suggested a Fluentbit+Elasticsearch stack for log aggregation.
