• (Shelley) What do the Kong settings mean within the context of the module deployment? Kong has its own timeout settings and depending on your deployment's networking, one can even configure the gateway's timeout setting for communication with the module.

• (Ingolf) Java env params Xmx and Xms are deprecated as of Java 11. If values are included here, does it mean the module still uses Java 8 ?

Deprecation of System User Variables for Umbrella Leaf

• What does it really mean ? Are only the Env Vars FOLIO_SYSTEM_USER_CREATE, SYSTEM_USER_CREATE, SYSTEM_USER_ENABLED being deprecated ? These are for Okapi deployment, only. Or is there another change concerning the creation of System Users. As of now, FOLIO Eureka creates the system user automatically. Sys Ops have to create a Secret for it, though.

Import and Export from/to FOLIO via Z39.50 and SRU.

Group:

Both have been implemented. Z39.50 is via TCP/IP , SRU ist via http(s) get requests, thus a little more modern. Still, Z39.50 is widely used, because of the interfaces of third party systems.

Sys Ops need to define services for both endpoints, e.g. Z39.50 is on port 210, SRU is on port 80. An example is here: https://github.com/sul-dlss/folio-eureka/blob/main/folio-prod/modules/mod-z3950/service.yaml

FOLIO comes with mod-z3950, there is no formal edge module for this interface. But mod-z3950 is much like an edge module.
