Trillium release

Trillium branch has been opened on Github:https://github.com/folio-org/docs/tree/trillium
trillium.docs.folio.org is available now.

The milestone dates have been moved back by a week:
Bugfest: May 11th
General release date: June 8th
Upload deadline for documentation: May 29th
Bug Fest R1 2026 Trillium - Non-ECS - Eureka

Writers who are still listed in our general overview but haven’t been marked as active have been contacted so all areas of documentation are actually getting updated.
Some responses are still pending.

Questions:

Do we have writers assigned for the new apps?

• Inventory import

• Marigold - is this still Doug Loynes for the Linked Data Editor?

Are people still including Okapi permission name in the Capability sets tables?

→ Keep the Okapi permissions until we find out about a Trillium-Okapi version

Update: Problems with Docsy search

We’re still seeing several issues with the Docsy search.

This was formerly a “Backlog Item” we decided to pick back up last month.
Since then, a library has actively reported these problems as well.

A detailed bug report has been sent to Julian Ladisch.
There’s already Jira tickets for different aspects of the problem. It is currently unclear when they can be resolved.

Main issues (tl;dr):
General: https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/DOCS-320

• the search sometimes returns results that don’t actually exist on the page, which suggests a stale or incorrect index

• on the current site, some terms are not found at all even though they exist, while the test site finds them—but introduces false positives and no longer links to the exact position, only to the top of the page

• phrase search doesn’t work reliably; exact phrases aren’t found or are poorly ranked

• the number of results seems artificially limited

Overall, it looks like a mix of indexing issues, broken deep linking, and changes in search behavior after the last Docsy update.

Update: Finding a new place for “Install FOLIO”

• Proposal for cleanup of “Install FOLIO”:

  Proposal: removal of the entire “Install FOLIO” section, including its three subpages, from the published Trillium documentation.
  For “Getting Started,” only basic orientation and demo-related information would remain, such as links to FOLIO videos, demo sites, and simple example activities within a demo environment.

• Not publish “Install FOLIO” for Trillium

• Alternatively, the remaining “Getting Started” content could either be unpublished completely starting with Trillium or moved below “About FOLIO” as a separate page. From a documentation perspective, these introductory/demo-related materials may be more appropriate for the FOLIO Wiki rather than the official documentation site.

• If we want to keep a “Getting started” we could do a small version and linking to the existing page in the Wiki Welcome to FOLIO! Start here.

• PC has a subgroup which discusses redoing/maintaining the Wiki

• Ideas so information won’t get lost are very welcome

• Keep a small page under “About FOLIO” and see if we need it for Umbrellaleaf

• Update: Documentation archive

  • Some people have reported that it is unclear what exact release they’re on when using the docs main site

  • The idea of putting the flowers for each release in the header of the corresponding page has been brought up
    
    Since everyone is in the middle of preparing for the Trillium release and fixing the search engine has priority, approaching IT about this has been postponed
