Trillium release

  • The “Timeline” section (Trillium (R1 2026) | Timeline ) of the release notes (Trillium (R1 2026) ) projects a public release date of May 29

  • It also projects that:

    • Modules will be finalized April 17

    • Trillium bugfest will be April 27 - May 15

      image-20260213-211706.png
  • The most recent changes can be seen in Snapshot – this does not reflect a specific release, but we know something is in Trillium if we can find it there.

  • Trillium R1 2026 Notes on functionality is a good resource to see what is coming.

Trillium branch of documentation

Discussion with writers

  • We discussed when the Trillium branch should be created in https://github.com/folio-org/docs

  • The earlier it is created, the longer documentation fixes need to be applied to two branches (Trillium and also back-ported/cherry-picked to Sunflower), resulting in more work.

    • This is because we maintain documentation for the current and previous release, so if something in Sunflower documentation needs a correction, we would have to make the correction in both the Sunflower branch and in the Trillium branch.

  • We agreed that changes should be done in the Trillium branch of documentation around April 28.

  • So, we determined that it will be good to open the branch on April 24.

  • @Ludwig Liebl will request this from Julian.
=> After the meeting: Julian is going to open the Trillium branch end of April.

BACKLOG

We did not discuss these backlog items today:

  • Topic documentation archive + navigation in the different releases still open: first idea: use flower symbols from the releases on the top open

  • Contact to Julian concerning Docsy Upgrade still ongoing: 1st step update search engine, then theme

  • Finding a new place for "Install FOLIO", e.g. in GitHub open
