New writers?

Ludwig

  • Last protocol: “Christine is retiring at the end of the summer (September 5). She will ask the User Mgt SIG and the BELA WG for volunteers to take on her documentation sections for Trillium and subsequent releases.” → Christine’s update:

    • I’ve posted messages to the BELA WG and the UM SIG. No responses.

    • I’ve heard from Craig McNally, the Technical PO for Eureka. He is interested in knowing more about the DOC WG’s involvement in Eureka-related documentation (in both FOLIO Docs and the Wiki). I explained our process/charge and invited him to attend the July 9 meeting.

    • Perhaps we should post a wider call for writers for my sections in the FOLIO General channel? Or FOLIO Implementers? Or another appropriate channel?

      • Might be worth putting into the Implementers channel.

  • Open areas:
    Home/About
    Getting Started
    Platform Essentials > Locations
    Platform Essentials > Permissions
    -> Can someone take over?

    • Laurence will look over Home/About and Getting Started

    • Aaron will take over Platform Essentials > Locations, Permissions

    • Still need someone to take over for Christine

New App:
Linked Data Editor (Beta) in Sunflower
Linked Open Data (SIG)

Martina

Writer for Linked Data Editor: Doug Loynes

  • Doug will start writing documentation with Trillium

  • Where should the Linked Data app be located in the table of contents?

    • Interacts with Instance record

    • Suggestion to put in Metadata Management

Data Import in the docs

Ludwig

(Alissa)

Last protocol:

Data Import is branching out into its own SIG. Data Import is a subsection of Metadata Management (Cataloging). Should we move the Data Import section of the docs to top level since it’s cross-functional (Inventory, Orders)? The group supports moving Data Import to a top level section; Alissa will ask the Data Import group how to approach the placement of the documentation in the Table of Contents.

→ Update? Alissa spoke to the Data Import Group on 6/4 and they support moving Data Import to a top level section, between MM and Lists. The group asked about Data Export but agreed it could stay where it is until/if the functionality expands.
