Testing pgAdmin4 v3.5 on MacBook Pro laptop (macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, 16GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 memory)

Connecting to Data Warehouse

  • Start pgAdmin4

  • Select “Add New Server”

  • On the first tab, type a name for the server

  • On the second tab, input connection details

 

Executing Custom SQL


  • From the “Tools” menu, select “Query Builder”, or click on the lightning bolt button at the top of the server browser

  • In the new tab that opens, paste in your custom SQL query

  • To execute, click on the lightning bolt at the top of the pane, or select “Execute/Refresh” from the menu next to the lightning bolt

  • Results will appear in the “Data Output” tab below

Saving Results

  • To save the SQL code as a text file, click on the “Save” (floppy disk) icon on the left of the toolbar and select a location on your computer

  • To save the data output as a .csv file, click on the “Download” icon on the right of the toolbar
