Announcements:

  • About the Reporting SIG meeting schedule

    • Meetings are held on the first 4 Mondays of each month at 11:00 am Eastern U.S. time (see this time in your time zone). The first and third Mondays focus on Reporting Development topics, and the second and fourth Mondays focus on Reporting Business topics.

    • "business" means topics like presentations on reporting functionality and new features, new reporting applications, surveys and studies on reporting, etc.

    • "development" means working on derived tables and report queries for the folio-analytics GitHub repository

    • "workshopping" queries could be scheduled during any of these meetings, and it would be great to have topics and/or questions in advance so we can prepare to walk through the answers/approaches, such as "how to I fix this inventory query to get rid of the duplicates?" or "what is the best way to calculate totals in this finance query?"

  • What topics would you like us to cover in the Reporting SIG?

    • Would you like to present a topic on something interesting for the Reporting SIG?

    • Would you like us to find one or more presenters to cover a topic you are interested in learning more about?

    • Please reach out to @Scott Perry or @Sharon Markus with your request! We are always eager to arrange for new and interesting Reporting SIG topics.

Community Priorities Dashboard Development from FOLIO Product Council

Jenn Eustis, Sharon Markus, Scott Perry

The Product Council is gathering priorities from SIGs across the FOLIO project to inform software development. We will review priorities that have been included for FOLIO Reporting software development.

The PC is now ready to move forward with its first official round of prioritization.
SIG Conveners have been asked review priorities with their SIG members and make any updates by 9/1.

https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/x/RgB-Nw

Are these priorities set correctly for the Reporting SIG?

  • (Stefan) The problem is that there are several reporting options. How can this be represented in the dashboard table? Example: List app is separate.

  • In JIRA, there is a list of issues on reporting. Is having a list such as this relevant for this group?

What additional priorities do we need to evaluate and set for the Reporting SIG?

  • Reporting App Permissions https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UILDP-178

  • others?

    • (Stefan) Content permissions: Permissions for accessing tables within the App Reporting from Index Data. Example: A user should have access to invoices, but not to user accounts. → New request or is there already a ticket?

      • First draft of the idea: . Consultation with SIG necessary to refine the draft and later consultation with PO.

  • Create a page in Reporting SIG wiki that allows members to add/refine/explain development priorities

  • In-app report UIs are all different - how can we make these consistent (Kevin) - maybe the Cross-App SIG?

    • This will be discussed in the next Cross-App SIG meeting (note from Jenn Eustis)

    • Building queries is different in different apps, e.g. using CQL in Inventory vs Build Query in another app, Build Query in Reporting App different from build query in Lists App
