MARC Authority - Trillium - Notes on Functionality

New features

Feature 1 : Lists app: New Entity: Authority | Ability to query authority records

• Users can now query authority records via Lists app and edge-FQM API.

• This entity is a composite of the authority record that is stored in source record storage (MARC) and the mod-entities-link (FOLIO).

• A few of the queryable fields: Authority heading, Authority heading type, Authority Source File, Leader position 05, 008 position 11, Created date, Updated date, See also from references, See also references, LCCN, HRID, and UUID.

• User can view and export the entire MARC authority record.

• NOTE: This Authority entity does not support querying most MARC field tags/indicators/subfields with the exception of Leader position 05 and 008 position 11. Several of the queryable/viewable fields are mapped to MARC fields (ex. 1XX = heading type).

• NOTE: ECS users will only be able to query/view authority records stored in the tenant selected. Will implement in an upcoming release https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/MODFQMMGR-1113 | https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/MODELINKS-413

• NOTE: Users will not be able to query/view the number of bibliographic fields linked to an authority heading. Will implement in an upcoming release - https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/APPAUTHREC-14

• NOTE: If authority extended flag = true then additional fields (ex. Notes) will be queryable/viewable.

Feature 2: Create/Edit MARC authority > 008 contextual dropdowns

Populating fixed field positions is difficult and likely requires consulting additional resources to ensure the right codes are used. Adding dropdowns with available codes for each position supports both efficiency as well as accurate data entry. More details - https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UIQM-398

Feature 3 : ECS Authority Control Reports - Support identifying record is Shared or Local

Note: The number of linked bibliographic fields column has been removed from authority control reports due to inaccuracies. See https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/MODEXPW-619. Feature 4 : Authority export enhancements
