🗣️ Discussion Points:

- Discussion: Susan opened the meeting, allowing a few minutes for attendees to join. Thomas shared his plan to move fees and fines out of the user interface into a separate space within Folio, similar to how requests are handled.
- Proposal: Thomas suggested that loans could also be abstracted out to restrict patron information access while still allowing staff to see if an item is checked out.
- Decisions Made: It was agreed to discuss this further in the next meeting on Monday.
Review of Fees and Fines (11:07:16 - 11:16:47)
- Overview: Susan shared her screen to review fees and fines, starting with UXProud 499.
- Discussion: The team discussed the functionality of transferring fees to a collection agency and whether this was still relevant. Thomas noted that this functionality is now redundant as it can be tracked within Folio.
- Complications: There was confusion about the difference between transferring to a bursar and a third party.
- Decisions Made: It was decided to close jira:UXPROD-1858 and jira:UXPROD-499 and create a new jira:UXPROD for a smaller piece of functionality related to processing fees.
Claim Returned Process (11:16:47 - 11:20:47)
- Discussion: The need for tracking searches in the claim returned process was discussed. Thomas mentioned that this functionality was included in his app proposal.
- Proposal: It was proposed to refine this further rather than closing it.
- Decisions Made: The team agreed to keep this for further refinement.
Replacement Copy for Lost Items (11:20:47 - 11:22:46)
- Overview: The functionality for accepting replacement copies for lost items was reviewed.
- Discussion: Cornelia noted that this functionality was almost ready and had been worked on before Holly left.
- Decisions Made: It was decided to keep this functionality as it is and mark it as ready for development.
In-App Report for Fee Fines (11:22:46 - 11:29:30)
- Discussion: The need for an in-app report to monitor overrides in fee fines was debated. Thomas noted that this functionality already exists in the circulation log.
- Decisions Made: It was decided to close this jira:UXPROD as the functionality is already covered.
Currency Settings for Fee Fines (11:29:30 - 11:35:38)
- Discussion: The team discussed the need for implementing currency settings for fee fines. Jana noted that this was an old request and might not be necessary anymore.
- Decisions Made: It was decided to mark this jira:UXPROD as intended to close.
Temporary Login for Supervisors (11:35:38 - 11:39:02)
- Discussion: The need for a temporary login for supervisors to complete transactions was discussed. This was linked to jira:UXPROD-1245.
