Any questions or thoughts from our last meeting?

question re requests display, specifically paging and storage requests for items that are not checked out

• feedback is that recalled/held is probably fine, whatever works for the loan group in terms of screen

Finalize modals

• route for delivery - should title repeat instruction or have different info?
  • consensus that option 1 Route for Delivery repetition is better
  • patron vs requestor - no strong opinions, will go with requestor unless it is not being used consistently elsewhere
• "Item requested" for items checked in and awaiting pickup rather than "Item was requested"
• Checkout failed - not awaiting pickup by another patron at X but rather needed for a request at X library
• Checkin when already awaiting pickup elsewhere -does it need a different model or just the same "item needed for a request at X library" that any other item would have
  • system should handle on back end any notices to patron who might have gotten an "awaiting pickup" notice, a la Amazon delviery updates
• checkout failed when it is in transit or should be in transit-use same modal as awaiting pickup elsewhere
• checkout failed awaiting pickup for a different patron looks good
• checkout failed - request open but not yet filled - e.g. paging not enough information (dwb) shouldn't be requested vs. recalled, it should be the exact kind of request on it " there is a "TYPE" request for this item by another patron
• same logic for renewal failed due to a request
  • however this raises the question of how failure messages for renewals, etc. will be communicated to the discovery layer-need for different language to patrons than to staff
• checkout failed where checkin is needed to fulfill the request. make it match the one where it is already awaiting pickup and require same action in both cases "Check in the item and place on hold shelf"

Next steps / homework -

• Tania will work on updated wireframes and give group this and possibly a couple of other things for homework.
