Without anonymization, how do you handle closed requests? Is it safe to delete closed requests or remove user information some other way?

Restricted item status possible bug

Meeting Notes

For Title Level Requests - when there are available items and checked out items on the instance, page, hold, and recall are all offered as options even though hold and recall will always fail because there is a pageable item. Magnus will create a Jira ticket to Not offer hold or recall if there is at least one pageable item.

Names for triggering events are not consistent between circulation log and notice policy. Magnus created a table with the discrepancies. In most cases, the notice policy triggering event is clearer. Lost item fee charged might be one exception. Create a meeting to discuss creating a Circ Log Epic that could include this fix.

How are people handling closed requests withoug request anonymization? Development of Request anonymization is aiming for Umbrellaleaf. Amelia doesn’t see an issue with removing the user information from closed requests except that some UI abnormalities because the data is missing but it shouldn’t be an issue on the back-end.

Restricted item documentation error? From documentation: A Restricted item cannot be recalled, placed on hold, or paged. Is that how is it supposed to work? See https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/CIRC-1085 and https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/CIRC-2355 . Schedule separate meeting to discuss desired behavior. The issue has been previously discussed without a definite outcome.

How hourly loans are calculated during the time change. Olga raised the issue of loans calculated by hours instead of days being shifted during daylight savings time.

AI summary:

Next steps

Magnus: Create a JIRA about title-level requests not offering hold/recall options when a pageable item is available

Magnus: Create a JIRA documenting discrepancies between triggering event names in circulation log and notice policies, and share the spreadsheet with the meeting minutes

Susan: Schedule a meeting to discuss circulation log issues in detail, including triggering event naming discrepancies

Susan: Send a message to LibCirc+ listserv promoting next week's Welcome and Introduction to Resource Access SIG session

Susan and Cornelia: Post about next week's session on Folio General Slack channel

All members: Review the front page of the wiki and update their information or move inactive members to the former members section

Thomas: Clarify with development team whether recalls and pages are allowed on restricted items, in addition to holds

Susan and Cornelia: Schedule a future meeting to discuss the distinction between restricted and unavailable item statuses and expected behavior for requests

Thomas: Ask Ann and Vega team about the hourly loan time change issue that Olga reported

Olga: Test hourly loans this week and send results to Thomas on Slack regarding the time change issue
