Update on “Demo version” of FOLIO?
Discussion items
Added some SIP2 enhancements JIRAs and recently tagged them with publib for tracking.
Claimed returned - SPL is looking to automate their workflow but it’s impacted by this bug. https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/MODFEE-411
How do other libraries process their claimed returned?
Having conversation might help guide the development of process improvement moving forward.
What would an automated solution look like for other institutions?
Could this be represented as a feature/enhancement for mod-fee/fine?
This is being discussed by @Thomas Trutt in RA-SIG if anyone would like to throw their hat in the ring.
Update on Fee/Fines (both RA and Implementers SIGs)
Minutes
Review of recent SIP2 JIRAs:
SPL is working with vendors to get them to support FOLIO-SIP2 messages, but we’re finding there are missing features required to support 3rd party services. SPL is trying to represent these as Feature requests in JIRA.
4 new JIRAs exist that will support automated material handling.
Called attention to claimed returned workflows at other libraries and that community discussion around how to handle the fee/fines and loans is ongoing (and how to participate).
A bug in FOLIO is preventing claim return fee/fine resolution.
@David Noe provided a flowchart of their Claims Returned workflow that might prove valuable to community design (and it’s similar to SPLs).
Fee/Fines is getting some attention, particularly Actual Cost and the prerequisite Item cost field.
Questions were asked about how this feature could be better advocated for - no great ideas.
Does OLF have an official way to “crowd fund” a highly desired feature?
Recent work on Fee/Fines:

Reviewed Community Priorities Dashboard and asked if there were any others that should be added.
Revisited a demonstratable version (not snapshot) of FOLIO to be “checked out” by an institution for demonstrating real data/application to institution administration(s).
Tara suggested the flower release, but we’re not sure how long the data persists for.
