SIG Reports 2025-07-10
Reports should include:
Discussion of specific development areas. Including Jira issues for both features and bugs is helpful.
Work related to the FOLIO Roadmap or work that occurred that is not well-represented on the FOLIO roadmap.
Information about demos, user discussions, or future functionality for FOLIO.
Spins-ups or wind-downs of specific subgroups or working groups in a particular area.
Ideas or issues that came up feel outside the scope of the SIG but need commenting.

| @Kristin Martin | Discussed Encumbrances/Payments against upcoming fiscal year, specifically allowing encumbrances against upcoming fiscal year and paying invoices against an upcoming fiscal year. Reviewed with Joe Reimers UAT for the Lists App. Joe received feedback on what additional queries were desired and main things to tackle in the Trillium release. Discussed Implementers Topics 180, and 182 both related to the Finance App. Also Implementers’ Topic 183, related to GOBI Integration. Ann Crowley and Dung-Lan helped Kimberly Pamplin with moderating meetings while Heather McMillan was out for a month. | |
@Tara Barnett | @Martina Schildt | App Interaction has been on a brief hiatus due to summer travel. Members met for a “rap session” where ideas and pain points were gathered.

Our upcoming sessions include:
As well as planning for our WOLFcon sessions.
OF PARTICULAR NOTE: For 2025, Implementers SIG set up a “Programming Board” consisting of three conveners (Tara, Tom, and Darsi). This experiment has gone very well--by meeting every other week and spreading out the work, we’ve been able to keep our calendar full and our notes up to date. Our hope is to recruit 1-2 new members of the programming board by the end of the year so that 1-2 of us can rotate off. Adding fresh voices will help bring new ideas to this vibrant SIG. This is a great opportunity in particular for someone to try out being a convener with a low commitment and a great support network. Please let us know if anyone is interested!
@Laura E Daniels & @Chris Long | @Charlotte Whitt & @Lisa McColl | Some SIG members are preparing for a full-day preconference workshop. Preliminary work started on recommended BIBFRAME to Instance mapping
@Felix Hemme & @Raegan Wiechert | @Jennifer Eustis & @Charlotte Whitt | MM SIG performed a feature ranking and 17 people participated. The top 5 feature requests have been added to the https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/x/RgB-Nw from the PC. We looked at the version history that has been added to Inventory and MARC Authority records (not MARC holdings) with the Sunflower release. This new functionality received positive feedback from the SIG. Christine presented the planned work on search improvements in scope of the Trillium release. Some of the highlights are: HRID will be displayed in the result list within a dedicated column, barcode has now been added to the item keyword search, instances that begin with quotation marks can now be retrieved by a search. We continued the discussion around MARC searching directly in the FOLIO UI. Requirements can be added to this wiki page. We will revisit this topic in future SIG meetings.
