SIG Reports 2025-04-17
Reports should include:
Discussion of specific development areas. Including Jira issues for both features and bugs is helpful.
Work related to the FOLIO Roadmap or work that occurred that is not well-represented on the FOLIO roadmap.
Information about demos, user discussions, or future functionality for FOLIO.
Spins-ups or wind-downs of specific subgroups or working groups in a particular area.
Ideas or issues that came up feel outside the scope of the SIG but need commenting.
When you click on Submit Request, this will create a new wiki page that will need to be published. To submit a request,

@Martina Schildt & @Tara Barnett | @Martina Schildt | Since February, Cross App SIG has met about:
We continue to work our way through refining/revisiting tickets on our Priorities List. We also submitted our WOLFcon sessions, one of which (Search documentation) will require significant preparation if accepted–we plan to allocate time to that over the summer.
@Vivian Gould & @Lucy Harrison | @Lucy Harrison | Working on prioritization of Jira issues. We have reviewed them all with Dennis Bridges and confirmed, updated, or deleted them as necessary. Asking the community to vote up issues here: VOTE HERE! Consortia-related Issues We also submitted a session for WOLFcon.
@Former user (Deleted) | @Martina Tumulla | The Documentation Working group welcomed new writers for Claiming (Susanne Gill, Stephanie Kaceli, Ben Taylor). @Thomas Trutt & @Tara Barnett & @Darsi Rueda | @Charlotte Whitt | Since February, Implementers has met about:
The migration help session was particularly well-attended and resulted in a fun Miro board: https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVIPPdaRc=/ Upcoming sessions include a refresher on Jira Skills, a session on reporting options, and a session on Actual Cost functionality. Implementers submitted a Working Session for WOLFcon, and may also submit an additional panel or workshop.
@Laura E Daniels & @Chris Long | @Charlotte Whitt & @Lisa McColl | We've created a topics list to help us track and prioritize issues of interest (similar to those being used for prioritization in other SIGs). The FOLIO Linked Data App has a new PO: Alvaro Lopez. We are planning to dedicate some meetings to discussions about development there. We got feedback from the MM SIG on our desired new Instance data element (Instance Source URI) and are moving forward with the feature and related stories. This element is needed for National Library of Sweden's FOLIO implementation and highly desired by multiple others. We hope to have multiple working meetings at WolfCon, most likely focusing on workflows.

@Felix Hemme & @Raegan Wiechert | @Jennifer Eustis & @Charlotte Whitt | We have a new Implementers page to replace our old Parking Lot of topics to be discussed. We spent time going over the list and have started going over the Implementers page. Due to one of the discussions, the automatic filter of Staff Suppress to yes will be rolled back in Sunflower. It has been causing confusion with Holdings and Items searches. We have also discussed reporting needs of MM and will have Sharon and Scott present in May on current functionality.
@Martin Bauschmann | @Alexis Manheim | Members of the OA SIG attended two meetings of the Acquisitions SIG in order to review and discuss open access related demands in Invoice and Finance: creating encumbrances and editable awaiting payment transactions for OA Charges, linking of OA Charge from an invoice. We also looked into possible ways to extended support for institutional levels/hierarchies of a person involved in an open access requests (UXPROD-5225).
