Ideas raised in the planning meeting: Can we empower SIGs to refine tickets Can we provide guidance on making Jira tickets onramp to contribution Highlight success stories / paths to making development happen (GBV, Sunflower Okapi, others?) shift towards asynchronous SIGs rehashing topics ticket is already in but isnt' getting attention AI summary of conversation: The team discussed creating a guidance package to help SIGs, particularly those without POs, better understand JIRA ticket creation and submission processes. They agreed to consolidate existing documentation about submitting priorities as SIGs and creating a more centralized hub for this information. The group also addressed concerns about community burnout and meeting efficiency, with Thomas suggesting SIGs should dedicate time to forward-thinking initiatives rather than repeatedly addressing the same issues. The team identified the need to provide more structure and standardized templates for SIGs to improve accessibility and reduce repetition of discussions.
