Welcome & Announcements

@Jeremy Huff

  • Tri Council Meeting during the PC time slot: Thursday 10am EST

    • No PC Planning meeting next week

    • Calendar calming pilot -- no PC meetings 4th week of the month, but we are taking into consideration if major holidays will happen that week - then it can be 4/5th week; e.g. Easter

  • The community council has a working group that is compiling FOLIO Community Metrics across the community which are indicators of community health. Caitlin will posting this info on the PC only slack channel for feedback by 1/20/26.

  • WOLFCon 2026 planning in Prague -- call for proposals will be put out in early Feb. Looking for preconference session ideas. Using Pheedloop instead of Sched this year.

Liaison Updates

@Alexis Manheim , @Tod Olson , @Jennifer Eustis

CC: Scheduled meeting cancelled this week

TC: Reassessing Officially Supported Technologies (OST) for Trillium and Umbrellaleaf. Schedule delays interact with in-support periods for 3rd-party frameworks. Largest effect is the need to move to Spring Boot 4.1 instead of 4.0 in Trillium.

RMS: no meeting this week

Trillium Deadline PC Endorsement Process Questions

@Charlotte Whitt @Caitlin Stewart

Trillium (R1 2026)

Deadline for acceptance of new modules by Technical Council at Trillium (R1 2026) is 3/27. For modules that should be evaluated by the PC, this needs to be done before (or at least in tandem with) the TCR. Has the PC evaluated what they should in advance of that deadline? PC needs to do outreach to dev team/POs and ask if there is anything that needs to be presented and endorsed. Should we ask Oleksii to add PC deadline to his timeline, perhaps one sprint before TC deadline?

Integration tools Potential Sub Group Update

@Martin Scholz

@Martin Scholz @Lisa McColl and @Charlotte Whitt met on Monday 1/12 and decided not to form a subgroup for now and will decide after talking to the Implementers SIG on 1/27 and Sys Ops SIG on 2/3. Working on data sources list to perhaps put on the FOLIO wiki. Charlotte is looking at the ARLEF matrix to align both sources.

Mod Linked Data Import Question

@Christie Thomas

mod-linked-data is in review by the TC right now. Is PC endorsement also needed? There is already PC endorsement of the linked data app. Do individual modules need endorsement or are they all covered by broad linked data app endorsement?

Consensus was that it would be impossible to present on every module, especially if changes are at the code level.

Takeaway -- this module is covered by the previous endorsement of the linked data app. No new review is needed unless there is some sort of significant UI or functionality change or new addition.

@Jeremy Huff Jeremy will set up a one-off meeting about the newsletter with the council chairs + PC.
@Jeremy Huff Updates from working groups in newsletter
@Jeremy Huff add Calendar Calming to a future PC agenda
All working groups should add their goals to the sub group page @Jeremy Huff @Autumn Faulkner @Caitlin Stewart @Alexis Manheim
@Martin Scholz will reach out to @Charlotte Whitt and @Lisa McColl to work on the lists on Integration tools
@Jeremy Huff Reach out to the POs and ask if there is any new functionality that should be evaluated by the PC for the Trillium release.
@Alexis Manheim will review older documentation that outlines what the PC asks to evaluate.
@Caitlin Stewart Add endorsement process to future PC agenda (2/13?) to review what we’ve done so far, identify a milestone to review release scope and reach out to POs for more info / PC review, discuss rules of thumb for when something should be reviewed (more organic approach that looks at impact on libraries and work, where we need more info.)
